The Opportunity - Work with one of the leading manufacturers in Australia


We are partnering with a leading manufacturer of a number of packaging solutions. With amazing presence and a solid marketshare in their space - they are key player in Australia with huge credibility, reputation and appeal across the market.


This role will sit in the Industrial Packaging division of the business - they offer fantastic service levels and their success has led to significant growth. With further aggressive expansion plans for 2021 and beyond to truely dominate their market, they are driving the need to recruit a top-class Business Development Manager with the ability to grow a business portfolio.


You will be targeting a number of industrial and warehousing customers offering a suite of products from stretch tapes, corrugated board/ boxes, pallet wraps and packaging consumables. This is a key role, with direct access to all parts of the business and an exciting, career-defining opportunity for the right individual.

You will have a demonstrated background in growing accounts, have a bright personality and a likability factor to truly build long-term relationships and fit into the company culture. Relevant packaging industry experience would be helpful, but more importantly is a hunger to succeed and deliver for customers. Previous experience selling into the industrial/ warehousing pace would be highly regarded.


Full support will be provided however, you will be a driven, ambitious self-starter who can work on your own initiative and with autonomy - a diligent, responsive and professional attitude is key – with a ‘customer first’ mindset. You will act as consultant to customers, in order to develop the business as a trusted long-term partner, building close, lasting relationships with customers is absolutely central to the role.


What will you be doing?


This role is predominantly account managing a portfolio of key national customers, duties including but not limited to:

· Out hunting to develop new business opportunities

· Maximising sales and growth opportunities in existing accounts

· Building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships

· Retention and growth of existing accounts

· Introduction of new products and services

· Development of new markets

· New account acquisition is a key driver for growth and a key metric for the success of this role

· Launching new products and services will be a regular feature of this role

· Development of new sector and industry opportunities will also be expected
