We are currently looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Perth based team.

This role would suit someone with strong mining and minerals background and a demonstrated background in the design process and knows how to manage all discipline activities on large complex projects.

About the role

  • Manage the activities of the project discipline design teams to ensure quality, time and budget objectives are achieved
  • Manage the engineering work plan and its implementation
  • On large projects, alongside the Project Manager, create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Plan and lead project teams as a Project Manager for assigned projects
  • Significantly contribute to the successful delivery of Ausenco projects by working across projects and providing a high level of expertise in the various technical disciplines
  • Effectively apply Ausenco methodology and manage the application of project standards
  • Provide leadership and technical expert advice on designs, engineering processes or unique and unconventional methods
  • Comply with all of Ausenco corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and requirements
About you
  • Bachelor’s degree in applied science or engineering (or international equivalent)
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years total experience, with 2 to 5 years Engineering Management experience
  • Prior experience in a supervisory capacity in industry related operations or research
  • Enhanced knowledge of the Engineering ISO, AS, ANSI, API etc. standard design codes
  • Participate in and lead project design reviews
  • Licensed with the applicable regulatory association
  • Strong problem solving and organization skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • A strong background in engineering technology, with superior demonstrated skills in the technical focus area
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience preparing proposals and delivering presentations to a high standard
  • Commitment to the project technical and business requirements
  • Has utmost respect for the Owner, customers both internal/external and colleagues
  • Deliverables regularly exceed expectations
  • Is recognized as an effective trouble shooter and problem solver within the Ausenco
  • Successfully lead multiple projects simultaneously or a single project of a major size and scope
  • Consistent delivery of projects on time and under budget
