The Company
Our client, a fast growing Investment Research group, is rapidly becoming Australia's specialist financial markets research platform, providing a unique and sophisticatic offereing to the institutional market. They are seeking a talented Analyst to join their Sydney Office.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Partner, you will primarily be responsible for the Analytics of key financial markets trading information across the groups full suite of products.
Responsibilities include:
- Carry out the performance analytics/attribution/reporting requirements across the groups products.
- Assessing the relative value of investment opportunities by interpreting risk-reward parameters, legal and capital structures.
- Assist in development of portfolio strategy. Generate investment ideas and identify trading opportunities for portfolios.
- Perform stress testing and scenario analysis using statistical methods to simulate credit portfolio reactions.
- Project work as required to improve processes/procedures and improve systems.
- Assist in writing and generating ideas for weekly and monthly publications.
- Ensuring all queries are managed and responded to in a timely manner.
- Creating and preparing client presentations.
Your Background
The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of traded financial markets, with ideally a background in risk analytics, research or financial markets advisory. You will be strong technically, with first class numeracy, analytical and critical thinking skills. Working within a team of market leading specialists, you will also have the ability to engage and build strong relationships with key internal and external parties.
