About The Role

A unique and exciting opportunity within this dynamic and fast-growing business unit awaits the right candidate. Reporting to the Associate Director, you will be building and managing relationships with those who supply products and services to the organisation. Your aim is to manage the balance in vendor relationships to support the achievement of agreed commercial outcomes.

You will be the liaison between the business (who are focussed in on successfully delivering the goals of the NSW Telecommunications Authority) via the Commercial team (who exist to support the business and who ensure commercial activity is undertaken in the most appropriate and effective way) and our vendors (major telecommunications and associated suppliers who support the Authority to reach its goals) on a variety commercial matters – ensuring that all parties are on the same page, clear and concise, working in parallel and meeting mutual obligations with regards to procurement and contracts management activities (quotes, change management, etc)

This is a busy, high-volume but friendly environment that will suit an organised person with a great eye for detail and plenty of team spirit. As the Senior Advisor Vendor Relationships you will ensure clarity and promote knowledge sharing between the business stakeholders, commercial team members and vendors. This includes changing business requirements, timings, expectations and deliverables.

Some Of Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include
  • Ensure the business provide clear requirements when it comes to quotation requests, technical enquiries and forward planning – liaising with vendors to ensure response to the same.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on services, programs and procedures to identify and respond to trends and ensure continuous improvements/performance of vendors in line with contractual obligations and established performance metrics
  • Manage outward communication to vendors to facilitate understanding and awareness of organisational strategic direction, changes and challenges
  • Analyse and maintain awareness of issues, insights, challenges, opportunities and industry trends and practices and develop and recommend innovative solutions that optimise outcomes, contribute to best practice and meet organisational and government priorities
  • Establish and maintain appropriate stakeholder and supplier relationships to identify and minimise risk, resolve issues as they arise, and maximise the value of the contract

What We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from those who are familiar with (in particular those who have worked within) large scale providers of telecommunications, particularly those with sales experience. The following is also required:
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of the quotations process (end-to-end)
  • experience in Telco an advantage but not essential

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary ranging from $111,077 to $122,404.
