JOB DESCRIPTION
• Support the Project Lead to plan, manage and deliver parkland planning across greater Melbourne

The Project Officer will contribute to the delivery of key co-managed parkland projects in the Suburban Parks Program. The range of co-managed parklands include Jacksons Creek Regional Parklands, Upper Merri Creek Regional Parklands, Cardinia Creek Regional Parklands, Quarry Hills Regional Parklands, Frankston to Mornington Parklands and the Seaford Wetlands Revitalisation Project.
The successful candidate will have the ability to engage local partners and local communities and the ability to support the planning and delivery of urban parks against broader environmental objectives. The successful candidate will contribute problem solving, strategic planning and positive culture to a strong team dynamic focused on outcomes that benefit local communities.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in environmental science, open space planning or Crown land management, project management or equivalent experience is desirable.
- Experience and training in GIS analysis and software
This is a fixed term position until June 2022.
