Duties

• Coordinate the delivery of organ and tissue donation within a health service/facility in accordance with best practice principles and within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework.
  
  
• Provide clinical leadership to hospital based donation specialists in the clinical delivery of organ and tissue donation services to effect sound clinical practice.
  
  
• Provide expert advice and recommendations to the health service/facility Executive and relevant committees/forums in relation to organ and tissue donation practices, policies and procedures.
  
  
• Provide expert advice on organ and tissue donation issues, policies and practices to members of the health care teams, and develop and deliver educational activities for staff and the community in relation to organ and tissue donation.
  
  
• Provide regular reports on organ and tissue donation to the State Manager DonateLife Tasmania and other committees/forums, and attend meetings as and when required

Essential Requirements

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

• Relevant post graduate qualifications.
