Responsible for performing regular high-quality mammograms, regularly participating in assessment clinics and providing support, advice and care to the eligible women of the BreastScreen Queensland Brisbane Northside Service.

About the Role

  • Deliver a high-quality level of mammography clinical services including assessment work-up examinations within a multidisciplinary team to eligible asymptomatic women at risk of developing breast cancer within the catchment area of the Brisbane Northside Service, in accordance with the BreastScreen Australia National Accreditation Standards.
  • Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in regular professional development activities.
  • Maintenance of a high standard of client care with particular regard for the client as an individual, so as to increase the compliance rates for clients returning for re-screen mammography.
  • Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Perform reception and other clinical duties when working at a satellite service when required.
  • Perform regular daily care, routine maintenance and technical quality assurance activities of mammography equipment, identifying addressing and documenting any problems and initiate problem-solving solutions in regards to equipment errors and provide training and supervision of these activities to other radiographic staff within the service
