Darling Downs Health and Southern Queensland Rural Health have an opportunity for a Program Lead – Health and Wellness Centre, to join our team. You will provide expert strategic leadership management for the delivery of a range of health professional services to the clients of the Health and Wellness Centre.
About the Role
This role is a conjoint appointment between Darling Downs Health (DDH) and Southern Queensland Rural Health (SQRH).
The purpose of the role is to provide expert level strategic and operational leadership and governance in the establishment, development, co-ordination and delivery of a range of health services in the Health and Wellness Centre.
Located on the campus of Baillie Henderson Hospital, the Health and Wellness Centre is a facility which includes 25 metre indoor swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, rehabilitation area, general gym area and several consultation rooms. This community-based centre includes, at its core, the student-led SQRH Interprofessional Health and Wellness Clinic in addition to services provided by Darling Downs Health and various programs provided by relevant community groups.
Centre activities focus on improvement of general health and wellness outcomes and the management of a range of chronic disease conditions.
SQRH, a joint initiative of The University of Queensland (UQ), University of Southern Queensland (USQ), Darling Downs Health (DDH) and South West Hospital and Health Service (SWHHS), is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health as a University Department of Rural Health.
