JOB DESCRIPTION
The Victims Register works with the assistance of other parts of QCS to inform eligible persons about important events in the sentence of those prisoners or offenders they are registered against. The role of the Senior Adviser, Victims Register is to manage the QCS Victims Register. The Victims Register provides information to eligible persons on the status of their prisoner/offender of interest in Queensland.
In this role you will:
Process applications, provide information to eligible persons and record interactions and transactions in the Integrated Offender Management System (IOMS) in accordance with legislation, procedures and policy, including privacy provision.
Regularly review procedures, approved forms and published materials to ensure compliance with legislation, procedures and QCS VR practices.
Complete self-assessment audits of the QCS VR operations and practices to ensure compliance with legislation and procedures.
Actively promote the QCS Victims Register which includes facilitating training and information sessions to internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain contemporary and detailed knowledge of the legislative provisions specifically related to the QCS VR operations and the release of offender information.
