An opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse/Midwife Healthy Hearing to lead and deliver person centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice. The Clinical Nurse (CN) Clinical Midwife (CM) is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making. The role of the Site Co-ordinator Healthy Hearing Program is to undertake professional and clinical responsibility for leading the Healthy Hearing Program at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH). The Healthy Hearing coordinator works out of the Neonatal Unit at SCUH.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility and accountability for own actions, standards, and the outcomes of own nursing practice as well as for activities delegated to other nurses and unregulated healthcare workers.
- The role of the Site co-ordinator Healthy Hearing Program is to undertake professional and clinical responsibility for leading the Healthy Hearing Program at SCUH.
- Provide leadership and nursing / midwifery expertise to help achieve unit specific and organisational goals, key performance indicators and relevant standards.
- Support and assist the Nurse Grade 7 to lead the team, drive change processes and assist in the efficient management of human and material resources.
Remuneration value up to $36 476 p.a., comprising salary rates $47.68 - $51.05 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (part time position, 24 hrs p.f.).
