An opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse within the Child, Youth and Family Health Program to To lead and deliver person centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Registered Nurse Standards of Practice. The Clinical Nurse (CN) is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making. This position is required to provide a comprehensive, holistic nursing service to families and their children on the Sunshine Coast.

Key Responsibilities:
- Apply the principles of primary healthcare utilising the social model of health, with the focus on preventative activities with particular reference to early intervention for high risk and vulnerable families.
- Participate in effective communication within the specific Community Health Team, the broader multidisciplinary Child Health Team as well as the programs within Women and Families Service Group, and other relevant government and non- government agencies; for example Child Youth Mental Health Services, Child Protection, Parenting Support Agencies.

- Delivering a service based on a contemporary evidenced based model of care that is (universal, selected, targeted and indicated). These services include prenatal support, Post Natal contact service (Drop In), group programs, parenting programs, Family C.A.R.E. All services are delivered using a Family Partnership approach to relationship development and care plans.
Remuneration value up to $115 508 p.a., comprising salary between $94 545 - $101 237 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)).
