Manage the operational delivery of clinical services for a large multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals providing assessment, crisis intervention and short-term treatment to consumers with a mental illness across community and inpatient settings.

About the Role

  • Apply well-developed clinical knowledge and skills to the management of multidisciplinary clinical services to patients, ensuring aligning with district and/or health service imperatives.
  • Actively pursue professional development and learning opportunities.
  • Takes the lead for key service initiatives as directed by the MNMH-TPCH Operational Director
  • Provide clinical advice and direction based on a well-developed clinical background to mental health clinicians within a large facility.
  • Provide authoritative counsel to relevant stakeholders on matters falling within area of professional knowledge, expertise and responsibility of the position.
  • Utilise high-level negotiation and conflict management skills to advocate with stakeholders for resources to provide multidisciplinary clinical service/s
  • Staff are expected to be compliant with the timely and accurate input and collection of consumer related demographic information, diagnosis, outcomes collections and provision of service activity into appropriate applications. The data and information includes the electronic entry and completion of documentation to meet legislative requirements, including Mental Health Act 2016 documentation, admissions, discharges and transfers.
