Cross River Rail is one of the largest transport projects in Queensland, it will set the foundation for a world-class, integrated public transport system in SEQ that will transform Queensland Rail and the way we operate. Our Major Projects Integration team are seeking a Governance Coordinator to join them on an initial 12 month fixed term engagement. The role sits within our Commercial and Governance team who are responsible for ensuring control systems are established, maintained and continually improved to monitor project health and performance against our obligations and governance frameworks.

A key focus of the Governance Coordinator position is to manage end to end processes for the Major Projects governance meetings including Secretariat support, performing minute taking, maintaining action/decision logs, logistics and submission registers. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining project governance documentation as well as working with various stakeholders to coordinate the management of governance matters and submissions.

Our Major Projects Integration area is a fast paced and ever changing environment, to be successful in this role you will need to be adaptable and agile in your approach to work. Experience working in a major project environment will be advantageous.

Do you have the following?

  • High level of skill and experience in secretariat duties – taking minutes and meeting logistics
  • High level of skill in delivering under a fast pace and frequently changing environment
  • High level of skill in the application of governance frameworks related to the management of major projects.
  • High level of skill in developing constructive stakeholder relationships and engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • High level of skill in prioritising workflow and time management with minimum direction with strength in the management of matters that are of a highly confidential or sensitive nature.
  • Substantial skill in recognising and resolving issues associated with governance submissions and actions.
  • Substantial knowledge of project management methodologies within a multidisciplinary project management environment.
  • Substantial level of written, attention to details, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

The salary for this role is approximately $96,090.02 + Superannuation + Free rail travel to and from work. This is an initial 12 month fixed term opportunity with likely extensions.
