The Firm

Our client is an reputable accounting firm that has been operating in Sydney for over 20 years. Due to sustained growth, a need has arisen for an experienced bookkeeper. The firm places a strong emphasis on client relationships and adding value to business owners. 

The Role 

Responsibilities include:

Entry of data into client reporting systems to maintain their accounting system. 

  • Sales functions and debtors reconciliation;
  • Payables functions and creditors reconciliation;
  • Payroll;
  • Bank reconciliations;
  • Liaising between the firm and the client and where relevant the client and their staff/suppliers for payroll or payment notifications;
  • General ledger maintenance and performing multiple reconciliations for management and financial accounting purposes;
  • Inventory system management;
  • Reconciliation of intercompany transactions;
  • Month end procedures;
  • BAS & IAS preparation;
  • Working to compliance due dates and managing tasks effectively to meet deadlines;
The Person
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role;
  • TAFE qualified or Certificate IV in accounting;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • High proficiency in Excel and Office products;
  • High proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks accounting software.
