JOB DESCRIPTION

The Field Applications Specialist is responsible for offering technical/applications training and support to various internal and external stakeholders. You will be key to providing effective trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of clinical diagnostic based products working with a established team. 


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide high level technical support to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Coordinate installations and training working closely with field based engineers
  • Collaborating with the sales teams to support with pre and post sales especially around product training 
  • Database management 
  • Understand and know clinical environment and competitor products.
  • Perform routine standard procedures to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Ideally have a relevant Tertiary qualification specifically in Hematology, Biochemistry - Medical Science 
  • Proven laboratory experience with a focus on Hematology and/or Blood banking 
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical failures and method of resolution to business partners and customers is required
  • Possess the ability to work with customers and vendors at both a business and technical level.
  • Good verbal and written skills capable of explaining technical procedures in writing or verbally.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time/priorities, and maintain composure under high levels of demand is necessary.
  • Requires excellent systematic troubleshooting skills utilizing a structured and comprehensive process to determine the root cause and implement corrective action.
