About Macquarie Regional Library

The Library serves a population of 69,209 across 25,168 square kilometres and three (3) local government areas of Dubbo Regional Council, Narromine Shire Council, and Warrumbungle Shire Council. There is consistency in services and collections offered with high-level support from the Library’s Regional Office located in Dubbo. The Library Service has seven (7) branch library locations: Coolah; Coonabarabran; Dunedoo; Narromine; Trangie; Dubbo; Wellington; and service points at Baradine, Binnaway, and Mendooran.

The Opportunity

Under the direction of the Warrumbungle Libraries Coordinator, this position is responsible for the Coolah Branch Library’s operation, ensuring the delivery of effective and quality library service for residents and visitors in accordance with the policies and objectives of Macquarie Regional Library (MRL).

In this role there will be an opportunity to:

• Ensure an effective and quality library service for residents and visitors

• Ensure the efficient day to day running of the branch library

• Provide quality customer service to all customers

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Significant experience in delivering high-quality customer service experiences
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated sound computer and keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft applications and Internet resources
• Demonstrated skill in planning and prioritising organisational workload
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead and develop a small team
• Higher School Certificate or extensive experience in the workforce environment
• Willingness to work rostered Saturdays

This permanent position works 21 hours per week.

Salary: $35,091-$40,781 per annum plus superannuation
