Taronga is looking for motivated individuals who are interested in joining Taronga Western Plains Zoo’s Event Management team and Zoo Café to deliver exceptional customer service and guest experiences within a leading tourism and conservation organisation.

EVENT WAIT STAFF Key accountabilities

The successful individual will…

  • Assist the Events Coordinator with planning and delivery of Weddings & Events
  • Host site inspections for potential weddings, and attend meetings for confirmed weddings
  • Assist third party operators to ensure effective delivery of theming, furniture and adhoc requirements
  • Assist with all internal and external communications, including telephone, email and face to face.
  • Ensure there is a high level of presentation with all events space.

CAFÉ WAIT STAFF Key accountabilities

The successful individual will…

  • Deliver high quality customer service in order to provide excellent guest experience
  • Provide front of house waiting duties including making coffees, milkshakes and café style meals
  • Work effectively as a member of a high performing team

About you…

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • Flexibility to work weekends and school holidays as this is our peak operating times
  • Excellent time management and coordination skills
  • Excellent professional presentation and grooming
  • A friendly personality and strong focus on ensuring a positive customer experience by adopting an adaptable approach to service
  • The ability to work under pressure and with diverse clientele
  • Have sound computer skills
  • Committed to delivering exceptional customer service and pride yourself in going above and beyond for the team at large
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (if over 18 years).
  • NSW Working with Children Check (if over 18 years).
