Primary objective:
Provide high quality administration support to the Medical Education Unit by supporting the development of education programs

with a continuous quality improvement focus. Assist with the recruitment of medical officers if required.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of organisation wide processes, practices and initiatives relevant to medical education
functions including implementing and reviewing surveys and coordinating processes to comply with NT accreditation

standards of the Prevocational doctor Education and Training Program (PETP).

  • Develop and maintain databases to collect and record information related to medical education and training within TEHS;
including PETP assessments and professional development attendance.

  • Manage orientation, regular teaching training calendars and training rooms for the Medical Education Unit supporting
program presenters with all IT equipment used within presentations.

  • Coordination and planning of events including catering, venues and resources.
  • Assist if required, to generate letters of offer of employment, employment contracts and ensure recruitment documentation
compliance for selected applicants and follow-up as necessary. Manage personnel files.

  • Process course and recruitment procurement ensuring that all purchases are legal and correct.
  • Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being
undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.

Selection criteria:
1. High level experience in data management, analysis of surveys and quality improvement.

2. Proven experience in organising training programs, preparing training rooms, coordinate large groups of people and general

events preparation.

3. Proven proficiency in a range of IT software and office technology including Microsoft Office programs, document

management systems, databases, survey tools and use of office technical equipment

4. Proven ability to effectively communicate a range of complex topics, issues and responses to a diverse range of people,

utilising both high quality written and oral communication skills.

5. Demonstrated ability for attention to detail, self- motivation, organization, confidentiality and ability to complete projects on


6. Knowledge of recruitment systems and processes.

7. Awareness of multicultural issues and an ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.

1. Experience in coordinating education programs.

2. Year 12 or relevant Certificate III/IV (e.g. Frontline Management).
