DMB Engineering is a long established and highly respected multidiscipline contracting group specialising in major construction projects within the resource sector in Australia. DMB Engineering values safety above all else and believes in our Journey to Zero harm.

We are currently seeking applications for a motivated and enthusiastic Site Assistant to join our construction site team in Robertstown, South Australia, for HV Switchyard, Power Station Shutdown and Power Generation works. You will also be required to assist the Site Manager with other General Admin & Accounts duties.

We're on the hunt for an exuberant, tech-savvy Site Assistant person to join our team. We love a bubbly personality, but we're also prepared to do whatever it takes to get the job done and achieve our goals.

The successful candidate will be locally based, mature, experienced and available to work full-time on a Permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities / Desired Attributes

  • Reliable, punctual with the ability to start ASAP.
  • Attention to detail & quality of work.
  • Organisational skills to assist with file management and keeping track of any missing or pending files for all new employees.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Word a must.
  • Management of candidate application statuses and ability to ensure all required documentation & required assessments are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Maintenance of professional candidate care and confidentiality.
  • Support the Site Manager on additional project initiatives as required.
  • Ability to drive and collect parcels and materials purchased from nearby suppliers.
  • Pick up and drop off new employees from the airport and accommodation.
  • Possess general knowledge about specific activity tools, and be able to use them safely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Desired: Any education relating to Human Resources and or Administrative work.
  • Experience working with Tradesperson.
  • Experience working unsupervised and with minimal instruction.
  • Excellent written and verbal Communication skills
  • Fluent in speaking English
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Initiative and Resourcefulness
  • Good understanding of recruiting process
  • Administrative and Organisational skills & experience
  • Must have an open driver licence

Desired Characteristics

  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Must work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • In-depth safety training a major plus

Job Details

  • Immediate start
  • Full-time
  • 60 hours/week, Mon-Sat (10hr/day)
