JOB DESCRIPTION
Life Skills Hub is brand new, one of a kind space in Adelaide's Northern suburbs, for young people aged 8-21 to develop their capacity to function independently and develop connections with similar-aged peers. We support young people to be their true, authentic selves in a welcoming, positive and FUN space.
We are seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant to schedule appointments, answer telephones and invoice our clients. Experience within either an allied health or medical practice is a must. An understanding of Medicare and NDIS requirements would be highly regarded. The successful candidate will be self-driven, motivated and have a "can-do" attitude.
A current Working with Children Check is a requirement of this position.
We operate under the Health Support Services Award and this is a level 3 position.
Qualifications & experience
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office package
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Knowledge of office systems and procedures
- Strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Efficient verbal and written communication skills
- High level of professionalism
- Down-to-earth personality
Tasks & responsibilities
- Telephone enquiries and bookings
- Organise and schedule appointments ensuring that all relevant details are captured
- Greet and assist clients
- Deal with queries and respond appropriately and efficiently
- Correctly invoice clients, take payments and provide receipts, or forward invoice to third party for payment
- Prompt actioning of email enquiries.
- Follow up client needs as directed by allied health professionals
- Ensure that information questionnaires are returned prior to initial sessions and record information on booking system
- Manage allied health professionals and other team member diaries as directed by management
