Eurofins Environment Testing Australia New Zealand is an Environmental testing network of fully accredited laboratories. With a staff of over 200 our laboratories are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Auckland and Christchurch, with Client Service Offices located in Adelaide, Darwin, Newcastle and Wollongong. We also operate field sampling services out of Melbourne and Sydney. We specialise in all areas of Environmental analysis, including Contaminated Soil, Sludge, Sediments, Leachate, Soil Vapour, Trade Waste Effluents, Sewage Effluents, Stack Emissions, Work Place Air, Ambient Air, Dust, Drinking Water, Surface Water run off, River & Stream Monitoring, Seawater, and Groundwater.
Job Description
We are experiencing a significant amount of growth and as a result an exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Analytical Services Manager (AASM) to join our team on a full time permanent basis. This role will be responsible for supporting and maintaining strong client relationships across our South Australian client base. Working closely with another AASM, you will be required to use your sound organisation skills to plan out your work and ensure that we are meeting client requirements and expectations in a timely manner.
The primary duties for this position include:
- Liaising with clients and the wider Eurofins team regarding sample submissions, analysis requirements and other related queries.
- Sorting, packing, labelling and preparing sample containers for despatch.
- Loading and unloading of sample containers from delivery trucks and vehicles.
- Providing a courier service to clients as required - sample pick-ups and deliveries.
- General housekeeping - cleaning of sample containers and relevant equipment, stock and inventory management and maintaining a safe and operative working environment.
- Assisting with general administration activities including reporting and preparation of invoices
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Science.
- Current Drivers Licence - a requirement for the position.
- Previous experience working within a laboratory environment - would be advantageous.
- A genuine interest and understanding in Environmental Science or Life Sciences would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Exposure to a LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) - would be advantageous.
- Proficient with the use of MS Office suite.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Ability to effectively manage time and priorities.
- Ability to build rapport and great working relationships quickly.
