JOB DESCRIPTION

• The Magistrates’ Court is seeking a motivated and experienced Administrator to support its CISP bail support program commencing in the County Court of Victoria early 2021.
• The position will be based the Melbourne office at 350 Queen Street.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join its Court Support Services (CSS) team. The Court Support Services Administration Officer will be responsible for supporting a team of case managers based at the County Court of Victoria, who provide support to people on bail who have multiple and complex needs. 

We encourage you to apply if you possess the following skills and experience:

  • Provide administrative support to CISP ICS advanced case managers and team leader including answering enquiries, creating files, managing referral paperwork, assisting to provide bookings for assessments
  • Coordinate the receopt and documentation of client referrals to the program
  • Provide a range of administrative services for the CISP ICS program, including, data collection and entry, developing and maintaining resource manuals and records management, filing and archiving.
  • Attend and provide secretariat support for CISP ICS meetings and attend Court Support Services meetings as required.
  • Co-ordinate reception duties, including responding to phone, email and in person enquiries from clients of the CISP ICS program, Magistrates, Court staff, members of the public, legal representatives and external service providers.
  • Monitor, maintain and develop administration procedures and systems and initiate improvements to procedures within organisational standards.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external stakeholders, including court staff, magistrates and external service providers.
  • Undertake general administrative duties, including photocopying, scanning, ordering of stationary and maintaining records.

In this key leadership role within the Court Support Services programs, you will play an important part in ensuring accused persons receive responsive, coordinated and integrated support services.
