About your new role

We are seeking a casual Front Office Receptionist (referred to as Customer Service Coordinator internally) to be based out of Lisa Bellear House in Parkville. Lisa Bellear house is home to 283 students in The University of Melbourne branded accommodation.

The key focus of this role is offering exceptional customer service which will include some property management tasks, administration and assisting with the leasing of our student apartments.
This is a casual position that will work approx. 10 -15 hours a week over a Monday to Sunday rotating roster. More hours may be available during peak times.
Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Operate the day to day front desk reception area.
  • Assist with leasing and the ongoing property management of our apartments.
  • Assist with reservations and administration of customer accounts.
  • Conduct apartments/room inspections.
  • Provide general administration support.
  • Assist residents with enquiries related to their residency, studies, general needs and overall well-being.
  • Liaise with third parties regarding building facilities management including maintenance, contract cleaners, security etc.
  • Promote the Residential life Program within the building
  • Be an active member of the emergency response team during shift times.
What you’ll need to succeed
  • Solid guest services and administration experience in the accommodation industry.
  • A focus on service and quality with the passion to deliver outstanding experiences.
  • Experience with leasing and property management will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in a University environment will be highly regarded.
  • Previous experience with StarRez Property Management System will be well regarded.
  • Be culturally aware and understanding of different cultures.
  • Ability to provide evidence of a National Police Check and Working with Children’s check.
