Morae Legal is currently seeking business development professionals to focus on generating revenue. We are seeking individuals in our Australian operation, preferably located in Sydney. This position will be focused on managing (and growing) a group of our key Corporate Legal and Law Firms in Australia and New Zealand as well as hunting for new business and clients who will benefit from Morae’s offerings.

  • Develop a full understanding of the Company’s strategic initiatives, products and solutions
  • Accountable for growing revenue in an assigned set of clients by building relationships and assessing client needs.
  • Maintain territory and account management plans on agreed accounts
  • Accountable for growing revenue through acquiring new clients by building relationships and assessing client needs
  • Identify decision makers, client needs, appropriate solutions for the clients
  • Conduct cold calling and actively work to develop and maintain a robust professional network
  • Responsible for updating all sales activities and client information within the CRM
  • Accountable for meeting and exceeding sales target/goals
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of client satisfaction
  • Provide handover to project team and support project governance activities supporting Customer Success goals
  • Monitor clients, market and competitor activity and provide feedback
  • Provide thought leadership internally which may include development of business cases, white papers (and other collateral)
  • Work closely with marketing to establish successful programs
  • Attend/contribute to industry events, Vendor events and internal strategy and planning sessions.
  • Lead by example the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values

Successful candidates will have:

  • Previous account and business development experience in professional services preferably in the legal industry is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability of exceeding sales targets
  • Track record of working in team-based environment that require collaboration to be successful
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to close opportunities rapidly
  • Ability to work in fast-pace, time-sensitive environment
