JOB DESCRIPTION

Nathan River Resources is an Australian iron ore producer.

The Roper Bar Iron Ore Mine is located 50 km inland from the Gulf of Carpentaria in the Northern Territory. Nathan River has consolidated the entire ‘pit-to-port’ logistics chain, including open pit mines and infrastructure, private haul road, ship loading facilities and transhipping marine vessels. Iron ore mining and export operations commenced in Q4 2020.


ABOUT THE POSITION

This position is a rare opportunity to join Australia’s newest iron ore producer during the early stages of operations and support the project into steady state production and future expansion.

Reporting to the Processing Superintendent, the Processing Coordinator optimises the efficiency of the mobile crusher through safe operation to deliver budgeted iron ore production for the Roper Bar Iron Ore Project.


Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Coordinate the operational team on a daily basis
  • Complete basic mechanical repairs as required
  • Provide input into short term ore processing production plans
  • Schedule resources and equipment to meet production plans
  • Monitor ore processing production performance
  • Drive the continuous improvement of processing activities
ABOUT YOU

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Processing Coordinator with a proven track record of achieving outstanding results in a high pressure work environment. You will have strong analytical and mechanical aptitude and the ability to mentor and develop people while operating in a lean and agile manner to create high performing teams.


To be successful in this role you will require:
  • 5 years’ experience in mobile crushing
  • 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with the Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Loader certificate
  • Current C Class driver’s licence

A trade qualification is not essential but would be highly regarded.


LOCATION

This is a permanent position based at the Roper Bar Iron Ore Project in the Northern Territory.

The position will operate on a FIFO basis from Darwin on a 15 days on / 13 days off roster.
