- Engaging with farmers, land managers stakeholders
Liaise with stakeholders to increase the capacity of agriculture systems to adapt to significant changes.
The Senior Project Officer will work closely with farmers, land managers, farming systems groups, agri-business, industry bodies and agencies to increase the capacity of agriculture systems to adapt to significant changes in climate and market demands.
The Officer will facilitate and implement communication tools including workshops, events and analysis of market expectations and drivers of change, including climate change to ensure Australian Government objectives for sustainable agriculture and natural resources outcomes are met.
Strong community engagement skills to work effectively with a range of community members and stakeholders is required. The Officer will need to demonstrate an understanding of sustainable agriculture, natural resource management and project management skills.
Special Conditions:
- Full time contract to 30 June 2023, subject to annual funding.
- A current Class C driver’s licence, and willingness and ability to operate a 4WD safely, is essential.
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- Some out of hours work, intra/interstate travel involving overnight absences from home may be required.
- Will be required to wear the appropriate uniform in any public setting to represent the Limestone Coast Landscape Board in a professional manner.
