Position summary
Our Infrastructure Projects business is looking for a Cultural Heritage Coordinator to be based in the Eyre Peninsula Community. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of the Eyre Peninsula Transmission Project and ensure works proceeds in accordance with the project Cultural Heritage Management Plan.

This exciting role offers you the opportunity to lead and promote positive Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagement through developing transparent and meaningful relationships with the traditional custodians of the land and keeping relevant stakeholders well informed of planned construction activities. It involves planning and management of cultural heritage monitoring activities to ensure the construction works avoids disturbance and protect Aboriginal cultural heritage.

ABOUT YOU

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with Traditional Owner groups, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations and the client.
  • As required, represent the Downers business interests at stakeholder events and engagement with the Community.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Good project management skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Flexibility to travel as required and work a 3 week on / 1 week off roster.
