Tell me more…. Deliver culturally safe and responsive podiatry services across communities in the northern sector of the Torres & Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS) to eligible clients, including those with chronic disease and ‘high risk' feet, lower limb amputations, foot ulcerations, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease and gross foot deformities, within a comprehensive primary health care framework.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge, expertise and skill in podiatry assessment and intervention across all ages and full continuum of care, with a focus on high risk foot.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively manage workload and contribute to continuous quality and clinical service improvement activities under the clinical practice supervision of more senior practitioners.
  • Ability to apply communication skills to work cooperatively and effectively with patients and their families/carers to meet their goals and to work cohesively as a team member to achieve the goals of the multidisciplinary team. Experience in a cross-cultural setting is advantageous.

  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Podiatry Board of Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/ manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
