The Manager Assurance and Advisory reports to the Director of Analytics and Assurance, leading a small team of Advisors will leverage department-wide project and program information to provide advice to relevant Department of Jobs Precincts and Regions stakeholders and decision makers including but not limited to departmental executives, deputy secretaries and the Secretary.
This position is responsible for supporting the delivery of a range of DJPR programs and projects, with an emphasis on ensuring the outcomes of these programs and projects enhance and grow economic and community development. The position works closely with DJPR delivery groups, the Program Centre and key internal and external stakeholders, particularly central agencies, to ensure DJPR investments deliver their expected outcomes. The position will also develop and ensure compliance with of harmonised policies and practices related to the best practice program delivery.
The key accountabilities of the role will include:
- Provide program and project oversight that ensures continuous improvement of DJPR's program and project delivery excellence principles and practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting on delivery implementation and impact, including regular independent progress reports to executive leaders in the department and central agencies.
- Ensure compliance with DJPR and broader State government assessment, approval, performance monitoring, reporting and evaluation standards.
- Provide authoritative and timely strategic advice and responses to support client DJPR Groups, Executive Board, Secretary and Ministers understanding of DJPR delivery progress and performance.
- Engage with key internal and external stakeholders, including Ministers, all levels of government, research organisations, industry and community stakeholders.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Records Check prior to commencing employment with the Department.
