About the role

We are looking for a Telephone Sales Consultant to join us representing Newcastle Herald.

The role involves taking inbound calls for classifieds advertising, making outbound calls for new businesses and re-servicing existing customers in both print and digital platforms for multiple publications. This role is required to grow and retain customers by presenting new solutions and services with a strong focus on customer relationship. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Call regularly with advertisers to provide advertising solutions.
  • Advocate for our product suites selling programs.
  • Assist advertisers with their advertising solutions in innovative ways and help the customers. to build their knowledge on the use of social media and digital solutions.
  • Deliver the revenue targets.

Skills and Experience:

  • You have gained work experience in sales or customer service in the media industry.
  • If you are a fresh graduate and you have completed your degree in media and communications or a related field.
  • You are easy to talk to and have a professional telephone manner.
  • A results-driven attitude with an ability to work well in a team makes you different from others.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and sound computer skills.
