This position will support Victorian Government's commitment to foster innovation in energy technology development. Led by the Senior Program Manager, the Technology Development Team manages a suite of programs including the Microgrid Demonstration Initiative and the New Energy Jobs Fund. The team supports the development and implementation of microgrid demonstration projects that address key sector challenges with the potential to boost renewable energy in Victoria; and manages projects creating long-term sustainable jobs, increasing the uptake of renewable energy generation, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and driving innovation in new energy technologies.

The Program Manager will support the Senior Program Manager to contribute and where applicable, lead the development and management of Victorian Government's current and new energy programs, projects and policies within the Energy Demand, Programs and Safety Division within the Energy Group.

This position will require a motivated individual with strong program development, project and contract management and excellent communication skills.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Sound knowledge of the energy sector and Government policies, programs and commitments is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience in a program delivery role within Government is highly desirable

This is a fixed term position for a period of 18 months.
