JOB DESCRIPTION

The Company

The Company is one of the largest providers of mining equipment across Western Australia with experience stretching over a quarter of a century. The Business has branches across the state and contracts with blue-chip and second-tier mining companies.

The Role

The Business is looking for a proactive Group Financial Analyst to join our high functioning Finance Team. Reporting to our CFO, you will be accountable for but not limited to the following:

  • Preparation and maintenance of source material for our bankers and financiers, compliance reporting, cash flow projections, monthly Board reports and fixed asset register and annual capex program;
  • Assisting with budget schedules, modelling and presentations;
  • Analysis of various cost types and statistical information;
  • Preparation of source material and schedules for audits and reviews;
  • Provision of financial information for tenders and quotes;
  • Ensuring the correct of allocation of costs, working through all balance sheet reconciliations
  • Management of working capital across debtors, creditors, inventory management/stock turnover
  • Management of purchasing process and control
  • Management of insurance claims;
  • Assistance with review of insurance policy portfolio;
  • Ad hoc Analysis
You
  • Advanced/specialist level knowledge of Excel and full Microsoft Office suite;
  • Intermediate knowledge of Access or similar database management system will be considered favourably;
  • Strong data modelling and analysis skills;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills verbally and written;
  • Demonstrable attention to detail and ability to organise and prioritise;
  • Strong Business Partnership skills; and
Qualifications and experience:
  • Degree – preferably finance, accounting, commerce/business, IT;
  • Working-experience from the mining services industry – desirable;
  • Working with large data sets;
  • Experience in drafting of reports for boards and external parties eg. banks and financiers; and
  • Working experience with process review, interrogation and design.
