The Role
Reporting into the Financial Controller, the role is for an all-rounder who will be responsible for accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and day to day accounting. Working closely with the existing finance team, you will have an opportunity to develop your finance and analytical skills in support of the business.

Key duties of the role include:

  • Month-end close including preparation of general journal entries and trial balance
  • Management reporting and analysis
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including (not limited to) bank accounts/credit card accounts/AP/AR
  • Payroll, including leave reconciliations, superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax and workers' compensation
  • Overseeing HR administration including onboarding of employees and maintaining employee records
  • Preparation and lodgement of BAS/IAS
  • Fixed asset register maintenance

To be considered for this role, candidates will possess the following experience and qualities:

  • Proficient with MS Office, and ‘intermediate excel’. (*intermediate means you can do simple formulas; ‘IF’, ‘VLOOKUP’, ‘SUMIF? 
  • Degree in accounting and a CA/CPA qualification would be considered an added advantage
  • 3 years of commercial accounting experience
  • Experience in Dynamics NAV or Business Central and Power BI would be viewed favourably
  • Stong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and autonomously
  • Proactive and willing to improve systems and controls
