There has never been a more exciting time at EPA as we work to prevent the harmful effects of pollution and waste on Victoria's environment and people, with a focus on zero tolerance for waste crime and unsafe waste management.

We are seeking a Project Manager (VPS5.2) to join the new High-Risk Sites and Emergency Coordination Directorate to implement the Government's Recycling Victoria policy and plan, based with the EPA in Victoria. This role can be based flexibly across our numerous state office locations at the preference of the successful applicant. This role is a fixed term opporunity until 30 June 2021.

Your role: 

  • Lead complex projects and establishing key operational and regulatory frameworks required to ensure effective site intervention.
  • Responsible for coordination of an all of government approach with the objective to reduce the current risk posed by High Risk stockpiles
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with relevant stakeholders across EPA and with external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach to deliver on reform outcomes
  • Developing robust frameworks, provide leadership to leverage existing capability and build capability to deliver high risk site cleanup
