- Model and simulate power system behaviour using steady state, dynamic and transient stability, harmonic, unbalance and electromagnetic transient methodologies
- Understand network capability and performance of plant and propose solutions based on this analysis that ensures that supply meets the required reliability and power quality standards and network stability requirements at lowest long-term costs to consumers
- Investigate the integration of renewable energy and impact on network performance and power system security.
- Assess new and modified generating systems for compliance with NER performance standards and modelling requirements
- Determine control systems settings for dynamic transmission plant, including commissioning, compliance assessment and model validation
