The Tangible Asset Valuation & Advisory division in Deals Corporate Value Advisory (CVA) in Melbourne is seeking to recruit a Senior Associate with a strong quantitative background and interest in tangible assets to work on a broad diversity of assignments with a well established and high profile client portfolio.

The Tangible Asset Valuation & Advisory service offering includes:

  • The provision of valuation support to the other service lines in the firm, including tax, transaction services, corporate advisory restructuring, and private clients, etc.
  • Strategic asset management including asset lifecycle optimisation, due diligence and asset advisory services
  • Fixed asset register audits and rebuilds

As a Senior Associate in our Valuations team your impact will be seen by:
  • Helping our clients make better business decisions based on value, by providing commercial insight and technical expertise, backing up your point of view with well articulated, rigorous and reasoned analysis
  • Supporting the delivery of asset management and asset valuations advice across a wide range of capital intensive industries (e.g., infrastructure, mining, manufacturing, transport, telecommunications, utilities, etc) and for a variety of purposes, including financial reporting and tax, business disputes/litigation, transaction support, value consulting and asset financial management
  • Supporting the delivery of asset management and valuation services to our clients including conducting market research, analysing client data, site inspections, modelling, project management and preparing client deliverables on our findings
  • Quickly building technical capability and developing trusted relationships with the team and our clients, while working together on a high volume of varied projects

About you

You have a background in engineering or financial analysis and are skilled in data manipulation, modelling, problem solving and lateral thinking. You also hold an understanding of asset management concepts and articulation of key strategic decision making drivers, including asset lifecycle modelling, total expenditure, and funding optimisation.

The successful candidate will have an enquiring mind as to “how things work” and be able to confidently communicate with a broad range of stakeholders and work effectively as part of a team in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Familiarity or qualifications with asset management standards and best industry practice such as the ISO 55000 asset management suite, or experience working in the asset management or plant & equipment profession will be an advantage.

You will be passionate about delivering great client outcomes, are comfortable with ambiguity, and are keen to help our Tangible Asset Valuation & Advisory team deliver innovative solutions to our clients, providing advice and support across the whole asset lifecycle.

You’re collaborative and enjoy working in an innovative environment. You’re a problem solver by nature and want to join a firm that values the kind of people who reimagine the possible for their clients and stakeholders. Most importantly, you act with integrity and show care for the people you work with.

Sarah Cullen is the Recruitment Manager for the role. As the team experiences high volumes of applications, we appreciate your patience to allow for a timely and fair process for all.
