Woods & Co Hospitality have partnered with the team behind some outstanding Hospitality Venues all around Melbourne. We are on the hunt for a capable, General Manager to oversee the daily operations of this “new-kid-on-the-block” venue in the heart of the CBD. This person will have previously built their FOH teams, well versed in creating and implanting SOPs, be good at problem-solving, and have great people management skills in general issue and wants to be a part of the newest, coolest venture to hit the city.
Experience in the fast-paced up-market venues is a must with a willingness to grow within the business.This is a hands-on role - you'll be part of the service, be the leading as a team player, handle all people management tasks and troubleshoot service issue and most importantly, a desire to be a part of the newest, coolest venture to hit the city.

What do you do?

Oversight of FOH Team
Oversight of the recruitment of the FOH teams
Financial reporting including budgeting, COGS, labour percentages a bonus.
Strong F&B background and knowledge
Come from a restaurant background
Hands on approach in your leadership
Capabilities in stocktake systems and ordering processes.
Manage open and closing procedures.
Cash handling skills including cash up and daily reconciliations.
Experience with Vectron POS systems
Area Management and oversight including the floor, bar, kitchen, security and music
Ensuring smooth bar, floor, and general operations
Oversee the daily operations of the venue(s)

What do you need?

At least 2-3 years’ experience as an autonomous manager in fast pace venues with versatile spaces in Melbourne
Full working rights in Australia
Fluent written and verbal skills
Ability to work some late nights
Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Weekend availability and Willingness to work across a 7-day roster.
Ability to problem solve and prioritise tasks.
Willingness to be part of an enthusiastic and motivated team and lead by example.
Demonstrated experience in training staff of all levels.
Demonstrated experience with rostering.
Want to work long term and progress your career with the business.
Previous experience working at some fast-paced higher end restaurants a bonus
