Business Analysis Lead

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Elicitation and Collaboration
  2. The analyst interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs
  3. The analyst gathers, documents, and analyzes business needs and requirements
  1. Business Analysis, Strategy Planning and Monitoring
  2. Identifying, investigating, and analyzing business processes, procedures and work practices
  3. Identifying and evaluating inefficiencies and recommending optimal business practices, and system functionality and behavior
  1. Business requirements (user requirements definition)
  2. The analyst works with the business to identify opportunities for improvement in business operations and processes
  3. Works with users to formulate and document business requirements
  1. Requirement analysis and Design definition
  2. The analyst is involved in the design or modification of business systems or IT systems. The analyst solves business problems and, as needed, designs technical solutions
  3. Taking responsibility for deploying functional solutions, such as creating, adopting and implementing system test plans, which ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system developing functional specifications for use by system developers
  1. Solution Evaluation
  2. Using data and process modeling techniques to create clear system specifications for the design and development of system software
  3. The analyst documents the functional and, sometimes, technical design of the system
  4. Using project management methodologies, principles and techniques to develop project plans and to cost, resource and manage projects
  1. Requirements lifecycle management
  2. The analyst interacts with system architects and developers to ensure the system is properly implemented
  3. Acting as a central reference and information source, providing guidance and assistance in the system project decision making process
  4. The analyst may help test the system and create system documentation and user manuals
  5. Creating user and training documentation, and conducting formal training classes
