Our client is focused on working with its clients to provide comprehensive services and achieve commercial solutions in the electricity, gas, carbon, and renewable energy.
Due to their ongoing growth of their successful operation, they are looking to employ a switched on individual to work in their energy trading division who has career ambition with a keen interest to join this successful leader in their field within their team based in the city fringe.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Development & assessment of energy trading & hedging strategies
• Portfolio optimisation to maximise commercial position for clients
• Derivative & contract evaluation
• Market trend analysis & commentary
  

Knowledge of the energy trading market sector would be an advantage but not essential in order to develop and grow your career with this leader in the energy industry.

You Will Be

• Competent report & writing skills
• Confident with client interfacing/interaction
• Attention to detail
• Competent with spreadsheets
• Commercially savvy
• A good negotiator
  

Your skills will revolve around either economics, mathematics or accounting that can digest, reason and make quick decisions on numbers in order to make sound recommendations for clients. You must be flexible to work on weekends and some public holidays on a roster, given the coverage required for some clients.

You will work in a team environment alongside a wealth of knowledge to ensure you receive all the mentoring and support you require in order to be successful. Proficient academic results in either a Degree or Diploma level will be highly advantageous as well as a recent check-able work history.
