What’s the opportunity?

This role reports into our Global Head of Business Development, based in the US. The Business Development leader will lead a passionate Business Development team focused on inbound & outbound prospecting, qualifying and building pipeline for the APAC Account Executive team in. Our business development team is based in Sydney and the expectation is that this role would be in office for three to four days per week.

What will I be doing?

  • This leader is responsible for the performance of the APAC Biz Dev team and must have proven experience in leading and building top-performing inside sales teams - including the ability to recruit, train, mentor and motivate
  • You will lead the APAC Biz Dev team to use effective prospecting techniques to identify and qualify potential buyers
  • You’ll use an integrated approach with Marketing and leverage modern demand generation methodologies and platforms (Salesforce, Outreach.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Marketo, Tableau, etc .) to build and nurture relationships
  • Take a hands-on approach to front-line management including daily coaching and role-playing with the team, including active listening to live calls and recorded calls from recent interactions
  • Conduct a high-energy daily stand-up meeting - including a recap of the previous day’s results and KPI’s, celebrating success and holding all accountable for daily performance
  • As appropriate, develop an ongoing calendar of contests (SPIF) and recognition/rewards to celebrate achievements and motivate the team; maintain a competitive environment that includes various sales competitions to keep the tone and tempo of the department energised and positive.
  • Continuously and actively recruit to ensure the right talent is in place to reach your goals.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new team members and ongoing training for existing team members. Evaluate current workflows/ playbooks and create changes as needed.
What skills do I need?
  • Ability to manage in the moment; providing immediate feedback and mentoring with the appropriate approach
  • Strong work ethic and ability to prioritise
  • 3-5 years of experience leading a successful B2B inside sales team as a people leader
  • 3-5 years of sales experience inside or field role; proven track record of exceeding quota
  • High-level knowledge of other technology and tools used for this role such as Engagio, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Salesforce, Seismic, Linkedin Sales Navigator.
  • Strong leadership with the ability to create a compelling vision for success and inspire the team to deliver exceptional results

  • You default to action and have a knack for influencing others in ways that bring speed to the business to get things done
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and business judgment
  • Relentlessly resourceful and able to drive results autonomously, with limited oversight
