Our Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol teams provide critical services within acute, sub-acute & community settings. MLHD Mental Health Services are currently seeking applications for a Visiting Medical Officer – Consultation Liaison Psychiatry at Wagga Wagga Mental Health Service. This will be a Casual Position
The role
The Visiting Medical Officer will provide Psychiatric services within the Murrumbidgee LHD as directed by the Clinical Director. The cover may include inpatient Psychiatry, Community Clinics, Consultation Liaison as negotiated on a shift by shift basis. Working collegiately with a multi-disciplinary team is essential in all VMO positions. This care will be provided within the scope of practice granted by the MLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.
The VMO will provide a high level of clinical care to patients and participate in the on call roster.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District requires Visiting Medical Officers to participate in service and policy development as well as an involvement with education, training and quality projects activities.
