An exciting opportunity to further develop your mental health nursing skills in a supported program. The 2nd year Transition to Specialty Practice Mental Health Program will provide you the opportunity to gain clinical experience in specialist mental health settings while being supported with an education and development program.
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve quality patient care outcomes.
- Provides evidence based nursing care commensurate with own skills and competence within a multidisciplinary supportive team environment.
- Takes a leadership role in the coordination of nursing and health care within and across different care contexts to facilitate optimal health outcomes.
- Works within the team environment supporting other and less experienced staff to ensure safe practice
- Works within the Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses and the ANCI Code of Ethics Australia
- Is accountable for their clinical practice, continual reflective professional development and performance review.
- To ensure delivery of optimum standards of nursing care that meet patient / client needs and expectations.
- Ensuring your own continuing professional development while teaching and coaching other nurses
- Is responsible to ensure the appropriate requirements are met to maintain and update their registration annually with AHPRA
As an employee of CCLHD, you will be rostered in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (State) Award and in line with the operational requirements of your unit/ward/service.
