About the Role:

This role provides effective assistance to the Alice Springs Terminal Manager ensuring optimisation of terminal operations to meet transport specifications, customer needs and business objectives.

As a Terminal Supervisor you will be responsible for the Terminal Operator team with coordinating, planning, loading and unloading trains within terminals and sidings, in accordance with safe-working and operational procedures. You will also be responsible for the oversight of your team with processing freight, operational documentation, and ensuring the health, safety and welfare of yourself and others within the workplace.

You will be leading a collaborative team that encourages sharing innovative ideas to improve the availability of adequate resources to cover operational requirements.

About You:

Supervisory experience within a fast paced, customer focused environment preferably logistics / rail desirable

A proactive attitude and willingness to learn about ORA and its operations

Ability to demonstrate great communication and lead by example

Mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills

High attention to detail and ability to maintain safety and quality documentation

Drivers License is essential

Reach Stacker and Forklift licence is preferred

Ability to relieve at other ORA terminals for periods of time as required
