About the Opportunity


Our Commercial Ship repair business is growing, we are now looking for an additional Project Manager to join the team at our Henderson facility. You will be responsible for Project Managing the maintenance, repairs, refits / upgrades and conversions to a wide array of vessels. You will manage the full lifecycle of a project, from tendering through to delivery.


Ideally you will have experience within marine engineering and a good understanding of ship systems.


In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:


  • Manage tenders, through to production work activities and deliver the Ship back to the customer with all tasks completed on/or before schedule date, within budget
  • Maintain key stakeholder communications/engagement by attending and leading Project Meetings
  • Review and agree the Scope of work and Schedule, Responsible for Project Kick-off Meeting/PRR with exit criteria to be achieved prior to Project commencement
  • Responsible for the development of the Project Schedule, managing resource requirements to meet schedule
  • Communicate risks/issues to Commercial Repairs team and engage in schedule and cost reviews associated with additional scope with key stakeholders
  • Actively manage employees on a day to day basis and formally through the Performance development review process for direct reports
  • Lead the team in ensuring that safety is at the forefront of every plan and action we take.



About you


As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you’ll have:


  • Relevant and demonstrated Project Management experience through the full lifecycle, ideally in a maritime/ marine environment
  • Qualifications / experience within Marine engineering will be highly regarded, coupled with a PM qualification
  • A motivational leader who will mentor and develop a team in order to meet customer expectations
  • Can balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management
  • Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships
  • Eligible to obtain baseline clearance
