Due to a significant increase it projects and work volumes we are currently interested in hearing from people who are keen in starting their career as a Telecommunications Rigger to bolster our teams.

This opportunity may suit you if you have:

• Rigging experience in a different field i.e. entertainment, mining, defence
• A strong passion/ interest to work as a Telecommunication Rigger and/or experience in construction, defence and mining roles.

Starting as a Trainee level Telecommunications Rigger you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Riggers in the the installation, swap outs and maintenance of telecommunications network systems and ensuring that all tasks are of good quality workmanship and SLA's are met.

Under the guidance of a more Senior Rigger your role will include, or grow to include:

• Assisting with building, upgrading and decommissioning mobile telecommunication sites.
• Assisting with the Installation and maintenance of antenna and feeder cables, coax and hybriflex on rooftops, monopoles and towers
• Assisting with checking, maintaining and operating equipment in accordance with the requirements of safety, efficiency and calibration procedures
• Assisting with installations, moves, additions, changes, maintenance and repair support for customer telecommunications equipment
• Completing all tasks to a high quality standard in compliance with Customer and Kordia procedures
• Ensuring all working at heights activities are performed by all team members safely and in accordance with Kordia safety procedures
• Ensuring that OH&S Policy requirements are observed and followed

To be considered, you'll need to have

• A background and/or a keen interest in telecommunications and Rigging.
• A keen attitude along with the desire to succeed is a must as well as good communication skills.
• A willingness to work at heights. Working at Heights Certificate is ideal, but not essential.
• Industry Construction / White Card is ideal.
• Willing to undertake rigging qualifications.
• Australian (C Class) Drivers Licence for a manual vehicle.
• Full Australian Work Rights.
