Salary

$66,421 to $91,807 pro-rata, per annum

  • Access to the Grade 4 salary range $85,950- $91,807is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.

Award

Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019

Period of Employment

Permanent, part time, shift work (fully rotational), working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP

Fixed term, part time, shift work (fully rotational), working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing 14 June 2021 until 10 June 2022

Fixed term, part time, shift work (fully rotational), working 40 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP until January 2022

Multiple, fixed term, full time, part time, shift work (fully rotational), working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP until 31 Dec 2021

Hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Royal Hobart Hospital – Day Chemotherapy Unit

Duties

This unit provides a service to patients with a cancer or a haematological diagnosis. Chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies and targeted therapies are delivered along with supportive therapies that include blood product support, intravenous antibiotics, antifungal therapy, bisphosphonates. Non-malignant haematological procedures include bone marrow aspirate and trephines, venesections, iron infusions and intravenous immunoglobulin.

The unit is the designated haematological apheresis and outpatient bone marrow transplant service which includes plasmapheresis, WBC depletions, peripheral blood stem cell collections and bone marrow/stem cell reinfusions.

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
