In the role of Director (Revenue Protection) you will play a major role in the delivery of Queensland’s passenger transport system, providing strategic direction and leadership for TransLink Operations, to improve public transport delivery and enhance the customer experience. You will be responsible for driving a team culture that prides itself on proactively striving for continuous improvment and demonstrates a commitment to embracing change and flexibility during such times.

Accountabilities include:

• Leading a multi-disciplinary team, the Revenue Protection workforce to deliver front-line services with a focus on optimal operational efficiency to ensure customer satisfaction for the public transport users of SEQ and state-wide. This will include:

o Overseeing authorised officers exercising delegated powers in line with Transport Operations (Passenger Transport) Act 1994.

o Work practices and roster implementation are managed in accordance with legislation and agreed principles and terms.

o Build and maintain a culture of accountability, professionalism, strong ethical practices and respect amongst team members and to our customers;

o Provide direction in the analysis of fare evasion and safety data for the passenger transport network;

o Implement revenue protection specific recommendations related to special event management to ensure the identification and efficient delivery of services to our customers; 

o Contribute towards the business planning, financial planning and budgetary process as part of the TransLink Operations team to maximise outcomes and the use of resources including FTE;

o Oversee the development of policy frameworks for operational service delivery activities within Revenue Protection, TransLink Operations;

o Contribute towards the broader delivery of the public transport safety and security risk framework and ongoing audit / review processes to ensure appropriate security and counter terrorism measures are implemented across Revenue Protection, TransLink Operations;

o Contribute towards the development of operational strategies and procedures for risk and safety management, incident management and disruptive event responses as they apply to revenue protection activity.

o Drive a culture of continuous improvements within Revenue Protection.

Mandatory requirements:

• Criminal History Screening is required for this role

Desirable requirements:

• Demonstrated team leadership skills particularly experience with leading operational front-line service teams.

• Experience in the transport sector including public transport operations, is also desirable.
