The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist/Psychologist/Social Worker – Senior (Mental Health - Early Psychosis Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to over 550,000 people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will -
- Deliver high level clinical services in accordance with professional code of ethics
- Provide efficient, responsive and recovery-orientated mental health care utilising advanced level skills and knowledge
- Provide high level independent mental health services for difficult to engage and/or high-risk consumers with severe and complex mental health problems, and their carers/families beyond routine day to day presentations
- Provide intensive, developmentally appropriate, consumer centred, mental health interventions for consumers who require high intensity services including risk assessment, crisis management, safety planning treatment, rehabilitation and support services to recover from severe and complex mental illness
- Work collaboratively with clinicians, multidisciplinary staff, service providers, Non-Government Organisations and Mental Health and Specialist Services
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- (Occupational Therapist) The possession of a tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised tertiary institution
- (Psychologist) The possession of a tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution
- (Social Worker) Social Work degree and membership accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $109 505 - $117 835 per annum
