Exciting opportunities exist for highly motivated Clinical Nurses to join the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) and support our organisation and broader community in the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 200,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:

The purpose of this role is to provide expert clinical knowledge and clinical care for consumers/persons requiring COVID – 19 vaccination and support the general function of unit through role modelling and application of the principles of contemporary evidence based consumer/person focused care, education, leadership and portfolio management. In addition, this role will provide support and direction to the Registered Nurse and other non-registered nursing personnel in more complex situations. This role can lead a team in conjunction with the Nurse/Midwifery Unit Manager (N/MUM), and work as the shift coordinator, team leader for COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic.

Multiple Temporary Part Time Positions (hours negotiable), from the 08th March 2021 up to 30th September 2021 with the possibility of an extension.

Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).

From 9th December 2019 all new employees will be required to be assessed for their risk of Tuberculosis (TB). For further information regarding TB please visit Queensland Health website: Tuberculosis
