JOB DESCRIPTION
The Runaway Bay Sport and Leadership Excellence Centre (RBSLEC) is an all-inclusive outdoor education centre delivering the Australian National Curriculum to Queensland state students.
Over 8000 students from years 4 to 12 attend RBSLEC annually to develop sport and leadership skills through programs facilitated on the elite sporting facilities, Broadwater and surrounding bushland. RBSLEC teachers strive to inspire every student to achieve a personal best in all aspects of their lives.
Your Role
As the Sports Operations Manager you will have responsibility for but not limited to the following:
- Develop, manage, monitor and analyse the budgets and membership targets for all areas of responsibility and contribute to the Centre financial budget by providing a detailed plan for sports operations to the Director and senior management team.
- Provide effective high quality, innovative and practical responses in line with strategic priorities related to the sports operations of the centre.
- Organise and run events both internal and external to the centre, overseeing marketing and communications for sports operations, to ensure that one of the two main revenue streams for the centre - fitness and sports operations - operate effectively and efficiently.
- Develop and monitor existing parameters to ensure the centre remains competitive in the current market, and create and foster a positive image for the centre, with a focus on member customer service areas, to ensure members, guests and client needs are met.
- Work in a specialised environment, characterised by a regular requirement to modify and adapt established systems or business plans to deliver optimal outcomes through forward planning, analysing options and resolving problems within established management systems, operational standards and budget parameters.
